Java Version Advice Needed! Who understands this?

I was wondering what version of Java I have, which just recently required "upgrade" permission. As I know now the latest version of Java SE 13. My command line writes an incomprehensible set of numbers "1.8.0_221". Is this the latest version of Java/JDK/JRE or do I need to update/reinstall somewhere?
