Java programming on weak computer?

Hello. The essence of the question is this: is it possible to write jav'e on a weak computer?
I started to learn Java, I decided to install IDEA/Android Studio (for now, just for fun), and so the program started for about 10 minutes... 1 GB).
Is it possible to somehow write in java on such a weak PC? Perhaps somehow through a notepad?

What is the general system?
the simplest option, Notepad++ + console, if Windows, set PATH to java compiler, write a bow for assembly, and that's it, write the code in a notepad, compile with a batch file - there are no heavy IDEs ...
Notepad++ has tooltips + flexible enough for customization + there are a lot of palgins ..
