Java or Python for a beginner, which is better?

Hello. I would like to know which language is best for a beginner ? I'm mainly interested in the breadth of what I can create in one of these languages . From small ideas to big ones. And I have a dilemma, I hope you can help. Thank you in advance.

Python is ideal for initial learning, because it is unusually simple. As for what you can write here - here you have PyQt for the desktop, and Django for the web, Celery for creating distributed job queues, and a lot of cool stuff.

Personally, my opinion: from the proposed Java just right.

And there and there you can create anything. For beginners I recommend Java or C#. And Python can be studied in parallel.

Java will be just right, learn one thing from the beginning then another so that there is no confusion

Definitely Java. She has a higher entry threshold. But she teaches to order. You can write under the desktop, but not that. The best things start in Java EE and various web-related technologies. I myself started with Java, but in the future plans are Python or Ruby with rails.

Python и C#.
