I register the data (login and password), and try to save the user, after which it gives the error “saving unknown error”.
Tell me what to do? Checking email for a unique guest by registration is enabled.

Most likely there is some event handler for adding a user that prohibits this. It can be a third party module or just php code.
It is necessary to study the theory of how events work and look for all handlers for the onBeforeUserAdd event.
