IT companies + criminal record?
Hello dear readers! I have a very heartbreaking question for professionals working in the IT industry. What are my chances to build my career ladder in this segment in the presence of a suspended sentence in a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 228. It is pointless to describe how this can be reached, even briefly, because it does not solve the problem in any way, and it is unlikely that anyone will be really interested. I will just say a couple of things - from my purely subjective point of view, I completely left all the things related to the above article and changed for the better. In about a year I will be able to "remove" my criminal record through the court (read how - to pay off the probation and probation earlier). I have information about the Information Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about the Security Service in firms, about the nuances of a certificate of the presence (absence) of a criminal record, and so on. BEFORE my unfavorable story began, I actively studied programming back in my school years, I can say it was my mini-dream. Now I want to go back and do it, but I'm VERY afraid that I won't get the proper impact due to my criminal record.
Summing up, two questions emerge from all of the above:
1) What is the chance to achieve at least some good position in the IT industry in order to enter the middle society (read as the middle class) in the presence of a suspended sentence under Part 2 of Art. 228?
2) What is the chance to achieve at least some good position in the IT industry in order to enter the middle society (read as - the middle class) in the presence of an expunged criminal record (extinguished through the court before the probationary period) under Part 2 of Art. 228?
Thanks for reading!

1. Spend this probation year learning programming languages.
2. When you pay off your criminal record, get a job (Will be accepted where there is no SB). You will definitely become middle class.
I suppose that after 5 years, if you are a talented developer, you will easily be hired by a large company with an even higher salary.
So be bold
You can forget about a larger market share and all large companies.
Where there is no SB, the roads are open, even in large SB companies on the fingers. Yes, and just do not advertise the fact itself. In the same place, it seems like it should be noted, if it is not during the working hours of the company, then in general there should be no problems. Say that you go to exercise therapy, your back hurts.
Learn English/German and look for work abroad. A criminal record is not an interpol wanted list - few people are interested abroad.
There are also options for remote work for foreign companies. In such cases, they may also not look at the past, the main thing is that the specialist is good.
the most important thing is professionalism. The rest - do not care.
Judgment will be removed. Yes, and often turn a blind eye to it.
But some places will of course be closed, but to be honest, they don’t give a damn
Freelance.
There all do not care for everything.
Only the result matters.
The main thing is honestly, scrupulously, and qualitatively to do the work and give the result.
And you can make good money.

There are companies that break through not only criminal records (including canceled ones), but even administrative offenses, for example, getting into a sobering-up station. So it won't be easy.
On the other hand, you were rightly told: there are always small web studios that do not have SB.
Well, in my opinion, it is important to acquire useful connections. If you prove yourself as an adequate person and a good specialist among colleagues and customers, then one day you may receive a tasty offer, and they will turn a blind eye to a criminal record
Everything will work out, it cannot fail. I myself judge by 114 hours 1, and today I will look for a job as a junior-frontend developer.
I must say right away that I do not have such experience, and what was said further is just my assumption, but I think:
1. IT does not apply to activities where a certificate of good conduct is required, so in principle you are not required to present it. Maybe you just shouldn't talk about it.
2. The main thing is not to give up.
3. There are always alternatives. As has been said more than once above - freelancing. It’s hard there without experience, but there, for sure, no one will care before that. In general, the best thing is to learn English and look for work abroad. There, salaries are higher and laws are fairer.
I have a similar legal situation. I am writing specifically from a one-time account, admins do not burn me)
I am judged under article 158 part 2, but it was a very long time ago - almost 20 years ago. At that time I was a minor, they gave me a condition. At the moment I am well over 30, there were no problems with employment. The amendment is important here - I did not work in really serious offices such as banks, state. institutions, Google and Yandex. Mostly there were gray schemes of work (without registration), but I also have experience of official employment under the Labor Code.
The funny thing is that I have experience with financial transactions in a relatively decent company, despite the fact that I am judged by an economic article))) They just didn’t break through. I’ll make a reservation right away - I didn’t steal a napkin from the office, it was a very good lesson for me at one time. After all, he could get into a youngster, and there hell is in its purest form.
But if they want to break through the line of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, everyone will know, they keep information about criminal records forever. So you will have to forget about really good, tasty positions in terms of career. But you can live and work in IT with a criminal record, the vast majority of offices either do not have their own Security Service, or they are simply not interested in the past of their employees.
So you will find a place in the sun, do not worry and join our ranks)
1+2 is the same answer. And despite that for the author the middle class.
If from 200 to 500, then the chances are not great, but there are if the author is a really good IT specialist.
But... Only in small companies or freelance work for a Western employer (that is, you will have to forget about the social package, social protection, pension accruals for at least some kind of pension in the Russian Federation).
ps It will also be interesting for those who read and consider various "interesting" opportunities at work to know that the article closes not only IT positions in all good / large companies for those who have it. But also for immediate family, including brothers, sisters, husbands, wives and children.
Large companies will not be accepted (MTS, RTK, Yandex, etc.). Internal SB does not let through and it is impossible to argue with it. When trying to apply several times for various vacancies, they are blacklisted, after which the HR employee does not even consider the candidacy. If there are no connections in the Security Council (with whom to talk to other HR) or at the level of Top management, then only small developers. But there can be a problem there too. Since such companies mainly live on contracts with leading operators, then a non-disclosure agreement is signed with the contracts indicating all the workers on the project ... if they see a problem employee, no agreement, no contract ...
