It is necessary to connect an audio device to a 2012 Macbook. Firewire Mac has a 9-pin connector, and a 6-pin connector on a device. Do you think it's better to find a 9 to 6 adapter or a Thunderbolt->FireWire adapter? Apart from the price, will there be any difference?
PS. I'll add another option: a FireWire->USB adapter.
