Is USB hub a panacea?

Good day to all!
There are more and more devices connected via USB on the market, but until recently it seemed more like a joke. An example is an RGB mouse pad. But the number of USB ports on a laptop is not growing exponentially, and the only way out that is visible is a USB hub. I would like to give my situation as an example. I was going to buy devices with RGB backlighting (so that epileptic attacks would happen at night), but there won’t be enough ports for everyone and I’m thinking of buying a usb hub so that I can put all 3 wires into 1 port and wind them together so that they don’t lie on the table. But the question is what kind of hub is needed so that additional software determines all the equipment and gives the RGB setting? Example: ROG mouse, ROG headphones, ROG pad and SCAR 3 laptop are all configured through Armory create, but all devices are technically connected via usb hub to 1 laptop port.

With so many backlit devices, you won't have enough power.
You need an active hub with additional power.
