Is USB 3.1 better than SSD?

I don't have much RAM, so in modern games, my old HDD has a very large swap file, as a result, it has a very bad effect on performance. I don't have any money for additional RAM or SSDs. But there is money for a modern USB 3.1 flash drive (my mother supports it) about 16GB in size. If I connect a USB 3.1 flash drive with ReadyBoost technology, is it worth waiting for a significant increase in performance in games?
PS I have an ultra-powerful processor and a vidyakha, the only problem is in the memory. Everything always rests on her

Is USB 3.1 better than SSD?
Weird question.
An SSD is a storage device.
USB is a data transfer protocol.
They are not related to each other, how can they be compared? What is better warm or soft?
Should we expect a significant increase in performance in games?
No. It won't affect it at all.
In addition, an SSD costs no more than a flash drive. There is no point in using cheap flash drives for this technology.
The technology is obsolete. Previously, when a 120GB SSD cost more than 5 thousand and you couldn’t find it on sale, it still made some sense to take a flash drive for two thousand for this technology, well, just see how it works and make sure that nothing.
Now it’s cheaper to buy an SSD for two thousand and not bother with technologies that have been outdated for ten years and no one needs.
It's about the disk.
And if you don’t have enough RAM, no flash drives and SSDs will help you. Memory needs to be added.

Of course, there will be growth, but nothing better than an SSD in this regard has been invented.

As already mentioned, it is strange to compare soft with warm.
P.S. Ssd m. 2. pci gen4 has the widest tire.
