Is Ubuntu bad for SSDs?
I want to put Ubuntu on a laptop but there is an SSD. I read that it is harmful, but these articles are already 2 years old. And considering how IT technologies are progressing now, maybe everything has already changed and let's say Ubuntu 14.04 will not be so harmful. On a Kinston 120GB SSD laptop, a 3-year warranty is all I know about it. I bought it in the spring and now it costs WIN 8.1. and expired license. Please advise. Thank you in advance,

I think that everything will be ok, DigitalOcean, for example, has SSD drives, and they let Ubuntu choose, it seems that nothing has happened so far
What kind of articles?
It is harmful for SSD to use it, put it in a safe.
Old SSDs generally quickly went out (there was a small margin for the number of read / write cycles). Set it up and don't worry. (One piece of advice is to think over the breakdown of the FS. /home, for example, can be put in the old non-journaled ext2, so there is more speed and less load).
