Is traffic visible through the router if VPN is enabled?

I am connected to the Internet through a router (my friend), can I see what sites I visit in it? About this, I kind of googled what is possible. But now, in the opera, when you create a private tab, there is a function - enable vpn. What will be the result of my visits, with active VPN?

Without a VPN on the router, you can see
1) the names of sites opened via http (plus the traffic itself)
2) the ip addresses of sites opened via https (without names and contents)
Using a VPN, you can only see the ip address of the VPN server, but only if DNS queries also go through VPN. If DNS requests go to the router or local ISP, then they can be seen on the router.
