Is this a software installation process?

Got a job in the office. Due to the fact that there was a small Internet speed, installing the software on the computer took a whole day. The project manager expects him to work at home in the evening.

You read, everyone is straight cool - "there was such a PMA." There is no need to give such advice.
1. Ask the PM why he thinks you should work after hours.
2. Act on the answer.
For example, if the answer is,
"Because we agreed with you and you promised to complete the result by the evening, but there is nothing." And at the same time, you really agreed (and did not inform the PM that everything was delayed because of the Internet) - it is logical to work. And the next time you have a delay, warn about it. And perhaps not to rearrange anything, but to do the task on what is.
If the answer
"Well, I expected that it would be done today," i.e. you didn’t agree on anything, you didn’t write down the deadlines, you received permission to install ubuntu, but it turns out you didn’t manage to meet the deadline that the PM was counting on. In this case, by and large, you are not required to work on your own time.
What would I do in this situation. 1) I remember that next time I need to ask for the deadline of the task, so as not to get into this situation again. 2) To say that they say this is the first time I hear about this, that I should have done it already. And further "Your Internet is very slow, it is impossible to work with it efficiently. And, next time, if you are counting on something from me, then please let me know. In order not to create similar situations in the future. Today I have there is an opportunity to work in private time, and I will meet you halfway in this matter.
Well, work if you have the opportunity. But this is a favor and now a small debt is due to the PM. If there is no opportunity, then you can say: "Unfortunately, there is no opportunity. Let's set tasks more clearly next time."
If the PM's answer is different, then you answer differently.
But in general, you need to understand that the fact that you do not clearly know the deadlines and tasks is also your fault. A professional will always ask when it should be ready. And if there is a delay (no matter for what reasons), always inform all interested parties about it.
As for the original question - is the software installation a workflow - yes and no. First, it is not so important in this situation. Secondly, if you set it to swing, it itself swings all day long, and you sit drinking coffee and reading habr, then not really. In such a situation, you need to go to the PM and say that they say I'm waiting, there is time to do something else.

Well, the only thing I can advise is to send your PM to your ass. Don't agree to work from home unless the delays are your fault. In this case, if they are not satisfied, they should have provided everything for work so that you come, sit down and start working. Otherwise, let them go through the forest.
Is this a software installation process? - YES.
