Is there any difference in which program to develop the application, whether it be Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA or Netbeans?

Speed, simplicity or is there a difference in something else?

Of course have. Recently on Habré there was an article about the performance of release builds of java programs, depending on the IDE. The conclusion is simple, the more expensive the IDE (same idea) - the smaller the binary and the faster the program. So if you are a professional and not an amateur, you will have to fork out for a tool. Search for an article.

Try everything and choose the IDE that you like, and already start to understand it in depth.

A matter of taste.

Use Android Studio - Google recommends. Eclipse has been abandoned for a year or two. Especially recently there was an off-release.

There is a difference.
It's both time consuming and reliable (some IDEs show potential bug spots).
