Is there any benefit from moving to the capital from a millionaire?

1) The specialist lives in Novosibirsk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh receives about 100k salary, lives in a three-ruble note for 4.5 million and everything is fine with him.
2) The specialist receives an offer to move to Moscow (St. Petersburg) for a salary of 140 (120 thousand). On the one hand, the salary is 40 (20)% higher, on the other hand, the prices for everything in Moscow (St. Petersburg) are clearly higher. Yes, and at 4.5 you can’t buy anything normal from real estate.
Here is the question of those who moved with their families to the capitals, how much more satisfying (hungrier) and in general more comfortable?
ps I understand that in the capitals the main profit is that you can get vacancies that simply do not exist in the regions due to the size of the companies. But here the question of money, housing and feeling (became worse, better) is still of interest.

Moscow is one of the most unpleasant and uncomfortable cities to live in.
The most valuable thing in our life is time, having received a little more money you will spend it on it.
In cities of this level with the wrong organization (and in Russia this is the norm) - these are traffic jams. It’s normal to spend one and a half to two hours on a one-way trip, don’t forget a private car if you need to go to the center, but it’s a must if you need to be on the outskirts.
Set a condition for the employer - let him look for housing of the level you need (and buy it or pay rent) so that you spend no more than half an hour on the road, then think about moving, but still, think well.

I have not moved anywhere, I have been living in the suburbs all my life.
What do I see.
All IT work is concentrated right in the CENTER of Moscow. It is almost impossible to find a job at least near the Moscow Ring Road (single vacancies with a small salary), there is none at all outside the Moscow Ring Road. And it's in PHP. Those. no need to think that Moscow is straight it-capital. And it's not close.
I live geographically 5 km from the Moscow Ring Road, at night it takes me 25 minutes by car to get to the Kremlin - no more. On weekdays, it happens that I only leave my city for 2 hours. Those. the overpopulation of the Moscow region is simply monstrous, and the infrastructure remains from the 70-90s. Sometimes I can’t find a job, because spending 2-2.5 hours one way (a trip to the center) is unrealistic, not a single person can stand it. It doesn't matter if you drive or walk. But all the most delicious work is in the center.
- If you rent an apartment in the suburbs, you will howl, there is no way without a car. Who would not say anything and tell how exciting it is to wait for the train every day in the invigorating February frost and spend all your free time on the road to work.
- If you shoot in Moscow, near the metro, it will be better, but above everything was said about your profit. There is no point from 100 to 140, rent will eat everything.

Yes, and at 4.5 you can’t buy anything normal from real estate.
odnushka in Moscow starts from 7 million rubles. And it is categorically not necessary to buy housing outside the Moscow Ring Road. Open Yandex traffic jams (weekdays, from 7 am) and look at the eternal riser of the Moscow region. There has been no life here for 10 years, as soon as mass construction and migration from the regions began. For persuasiveness, you can come to any new anthill microdistrict and see how people live there. If you're a normal person, you should throw up.

And what about salaries and about salaries?
I aherel when I saw real stormwater WORKING KARL, and not buried in asphalt.
There is no crap on the roads because they are periodically washed with tractors / KAMAZ trucks.
on every corner there is a pick-up point for something (wildberries, ozon, etc.) and delivery the next day.
Almost normal medicine in state institutions. Private is even better (if there is loot).
Constant movement everywhere, events, everywhere someone is doing something. Capitalism is felt (everyone thinks about money as they should), everyone is trying to get into business.
You can go to work on a scooter and no one will call you an infantile faggot.
This is not the case in the province.
So it's worth moving for the sake of civilization. The hut can be rented next to work (on the same branch).
IMHO: I'm thinking of moving to MSC for young moving guys. If you have a family, an apartment and a salary above the market, then it makes no sense to go

For the author personally, it makes no sense. Especially if he cannot calculate and evaluate such a simple task himself.
Moscow is not rubber, and St. Petersburg is generally in the swamps. What to do there?
There is another answer, of course.
It will be beneficial to the one who will hand over his hut to you. He will receive 50k rubles a month for it.
Good for local shops. There you will spend a little more of your hard-earned money .. you are now a Muscovite (Petersburger).
Beneficial to the city of Moscow (St. Petersburg). More taxes
Beneficial to Muscovites (Petersburgers) - more taxes in the city - higher quality of life.
It is beneficial for officials - more taxes - you can cut more.
See how many benefits from moving. Is it just the one you're looking for?

I worked for a year in Moscow for similar money and eventually found a remote job, returned to my city and was very happy about it. IMHO it is worth going to Moscow if they offer a multiple of more money, and not 20-40% more. In Moscow, everything is much more expensive, especially housing: for 4.5 you can’t even buy a three-ruble note, you can’t even buy a one-room apartment within the Moscow Ring Road.

Is a specialist going to live somewhere? That is, he will have to sell his house. In a millionaire, a house for 4.5 lyamas is not so easy to sell - not everyone has a 100k pay in vain. In Nerezinovoy for 4.5 lyamas (IMHO) you can’t buy anything worthwhile - and besides, traffic jams and the location of the work (geographically) relative to the house are a much more significant problem there. That is, there will be a clear drawdown in housing - it will be necessary to buy "anyhow" and work for the hut again.
Need a specialist to eat? In a millionaire, he is used to eating well, especially if the "family" is a cat :) In Nerezinova, don't sin twice as much for the same food set (or rather, it's to sit down, open the websites of Moscow markets and compare prices).
Tyrnet, gadgets, car (hardly a specialist from the sect of healthy lifestyle witnesses - he definitely has a car) - all this will cost a few other money ...
If you are ready to roll back to the quality of life, which is 50 thousand million people, if the family is a cat , if the main thing is the status of a resident of the capital, you can move. Otherwise, I would have sat down and creeeeeepko thought ...

I think it's worth going. In the regions 100t.r. salaries are the ceiling, and in Moscow the ceiling is 200+, there are more vacancies in cool companies, it is possible to get a job in an international company, then go to their office in another country. Those. Moscow has room to grow.
The cost of food and goods in Moscow may be lower than in other cities, because no delivery required. The problem is the cost of housing. You should not buy right away, live at least a year in a rented room, get comfortable, decide on a job, then already think about buying. The increase in wages will cover the increase in the cost of rent.

Here all the work is only in the center and the prices are crazy. Lunch normal 600r. You can find for 350, but the quality of food will be bad.

You are looking at the issue from the wrong side. The only important thing is whether it is comfortable to live under current conditions or not.

Opportunities in Moscow are clearly more and the salary of 140k per month is far from the limit. Lots of interesting and challenging projects. Moscow is one of the most comfortable cities in Russia for life, no matter who thinks about traffic jams and a two-hour road. Modern metro trains, buses and trams are clearly better than the dead minibuses. If you want to get to work by car, you just need to find the right metro station for work and a place to live. From almost any outskirts of Moscow, you can get to the center by car in an hour, even at rush hour, by metro in 30-40 minutes. Those who get 2 hours either travel from one end of Moscow to the other through the center, or travel from the deep suburbs. Social provision in Moscow is also better, medicine, education - something that is important for families with children. Prices are mostly at the same level or cheaper, except for real estate prices. Real estate itself is usually better, in the regions it is sometimes just difficult to find normal projects where there will be a good clean yard - basically a mess. It is also faster and cheaper to get to Europe. The wife's salary will also be higher.
I myself moved 6 years ago from Nizhny Novgorod. It makes no sense to compare, Moscow has a different standard of living.

It depends on what a person is a specialist. In this case, it is better to create your own business in the city where a person receives 100k, then go to another city with a million population, open a business there, and so on. Thus, a person can receive huge money, provide his services to other countries, and so on. For example, open a company store for something and promote it. If a person is an IT specialist, he doesn’t care, I mean about freelancing. A person can work and join all the big companies like google and earn a huge amount of money, more than 140k(120). If it is convenient for a person to live in St. Petersburg or Moscow, you can safely go there. Although it is more expensive than in cities with a population of over a million, there is a profit of 5-10k, not a lot of money, of course, but still.

If the result is the same, then it will be possible to postpone more in Moscow. Accordingly, equivalent things will be more accessible. For example a car.
100k for a region in the middle lane, a normal salary. Earn more, this is not the ceiling.

If the salary was 2 times more then it makes sense to break loose and go to Moscow. And it doesn't make sense to me. Although they correctly write that in Moscow there are more prospects for growth.
