Is there an audio commentary system in place/used?

The search did not lead to anything, why not implement it? So that comments can be attached to a specific place of another and reproduced; the ones with the most likes get louder. It is clear that search engines will not index, but ... maybe it will be convenient?

Answer the question

In order to leave comments, you need to log in

Yes, and at work it would look strange if I said this text right now :)

and the habr will turn from a “reading room” into a “talking room” :)
but seriously, I see a couple more drawbacks:
1. in order to read a comment, you need a second or two or three, and to listen to a comment more time (well, let's take into account at least the speed of starting the audio player)
2. the comment can be corrected at least ten times (while you are writing it and trying to formulate your thought), but this will not work with an audio comment

I heard a story somewhere that it seems that IBM in their bearded years was thinking about a computer voice control system, but in the end they abandoned this idea, as they conducted the following experiment: they put one person who controlled the computer and another who listened to him and executed his commands by conventional means, As a result, it turned out that voice control is less convenient and slower.
Of the minuses:
* you always need to have headphones and / or a microphone with you
* it will be inconvenient to leave messages in noisy places, such as the subway
* questions with indexing
* questions with search by comments
* questions with storage and transmission, since sound takes up much more space than text
But perhaps this idea is suitable for people with disabilities, or motorists while driving, or people jogging in the evening. But still, I am inclined that for this case it is better to make it possible to dictate and reproduce the text by voice, and store all data in text form. If you make comments for the site on the expressive reading of poetry, then perhaps it is better to keep the track.
