Is there a way to prevent a specific application from connecting to the network (more in the question)?

Following a simple logic, if the iphone has, for example, 10 email clients, 10 instant messengers, 10 social network clients, 10 news applications and a few more applications using the Internet, then smartphone traffic consumption in this case will be quite significant.

For example twitter or email app.
If you turn off receiving notifications from the application in the iphone settings, then this will only disable receiving notifications from it, that is, the application will still connect to the network.

Open "Settings", look for the item "Cellular", go to it. See anything interesting other than the slider to turn off cellular data completely? Not? Then feel free to scroll down the screen.
Here is the solution to our problem. List of apps, next to each one is a cellular data toggle. What you need, right? Then everything is clear - leave the sliders on for those applications whose connection to the network you need (messengers, for example), and turn off the rest mercilessly. After a week, you check your mobile account - and find that the money has stopped flowing from it in an unknown direction.

Such a thing can be done through a separate vpn profile and an application, for example, freedom.to (I have not met others), but for money (subscription) and unreliable (vpn tends to constantly fall off, and the application itself does not work great). I have not seen any other options, therefore, in your case, the easiest way is to exit (logout) from applications, if necessary.
