The vidyukha burned out due to a power surge,
visual inspection revealed several swollen capacitors, maybe it's them or maybe not.

This jump, apparently, was caused by this video card.
Swollen capacitors indicate that the cause of their failure was too high a charge current. If the power supply was less powerful, then the computer would simply reboot, and so the powerful unit gave out a powerful current, and the capacitors burned out.
Most likely, the cause of the current surge was the failure of something else - a short circuit occurred in the circuit.
There is no point in repairing this video card - it will burn out again.
