You need to install the USB to COM driver in Windows 10 for a printer with a USB interface. To make the printer accessible via a virtual COM port while connected via USB. The driver that worked on Windows 7 cannot be installed on Windows 10. Tell me if the version is for Windows 10 or instructions for installing the old driver?

You can stupidly hack inf-files, but it's not a fact that the driver dlls will work after they are installed.

Most likely the author has a Chinese POS label printer.
See what chip is used - most likely FT232 with a changed name. And slip in fresh drivers from the chip that is used for the interface converter.
