Is there a special text editor for writing lyrics and poems with alternatives?

Has anyone heard of the existence of specialized text editors for writing poetry and lyrics? I'm specifically interested in the possibility of convenient addition of alternative variants of lines, words, phrases. The fact is that in the process of writing you constantly come up with a bunch of options for one line, write them all down next to it in a pack, and this can happen with each piece of text, as a result, it turns into an unreadable monster.
Another cool feature would be the ability to "save the rhythm", that is, arrange the words by beats in a bar, so that after reading you can understand what I wanted to set the rhythm of the words (which part of the word falls on the metronome).
Ideally, it would be cool if it was under Linux, but even if it is under Windows - still let me know if you find it. You can also share your experience of solving this problem.
For example, I still use the Notepad ++ programmer's text editor for this, where you can collapse blocks of code enclosed in curly braces (I put all the alt options in them), but this is not that convenient.
