Is there a GSM-SIP gateway for Android?
There is a SIM card from MTS, I want to bring it to the office Asterisk. An android smartphone is lying around in the office.
I would like to run a program on it that would automatically receive incoming calls to a SIM card and send them to Asterisk via SIP.
I wonder if this is even theoretically possible?
Maybe there are already written programs?

3cx Phone, it has such a function as intercepting incoming calls and directing to sip.
I tried it, it worked, but I didn’t really test it, I started it, checked it, turned it off and forgot.
Isn't it easier to use gsm usb modems? It seems to me that the game is simply not worth the candle.
max_rip is difficult if the server is in a data center, and even vps
I will support the author of the question, recently I was also puzzled by the search for such software, and did not find anything for the android platform, nevertheless I am absolutely sure that it is a useful and popular software. VoIP is being used by more and more people, and I'm sure the number of "builders" of home VoIP systems has grown, to which I count myself. I had a need to send incoming landline calls to the cloud PBX purely receiving incoming calls, with PSTN FXO everything just bought a "box" from Dlink DVG7111S and there is happiness, it would seem that GSM is the same, but it wasn’t there, at first I looked for "boxes "Dlink type, it turned out to be in a similar budget, mainly FXS wired phone adapters with a GSM channel, theoretically I think you can connect Dlink to an FXS port. Cons I'm not sure about the result, buying another "box", reminds me of a solution through w..
Other "boxes" are too multi-channel 4, 8, 16 and the price tag is tens of tr. and many are a box for connecting USB GSM modems, for example, I have a modem, but even in a professional solution from scratch and more modems, it is no longer possible to purchase.
About the GSM modem, I’ll say there is a working solution with the help of Oktel’s program, I myself made sure it works great, but only under Windows, it means either to drive a PC 24x7x365, someone will say buy a nettop answer in the word buy .... for the sake of one number, a whole nettop is doubtful.
And then the thought came, because of which I found this thread with a question. Namely, in any old smart that is not used for its intended purpose, I think many already have such goodness. Smart for android has all the hardware necessary to implement the functionality of the GSM - VoIP gateway. GSM module for receiving (sending) calls from network to network, WiFi for connecting to the "fat" home Internet, a processor no worse than in different "boxes" that will completely master such a task, and even more battery on board in case of a short-term power failure, I can not find the main application with such functions.
I agree with the question, it is relevant ..
I tried to connect usb-modem, asterisk + dongle to asterisk ..
everything works with a bang ..
and calls and receives calls ..
but there is one problem that I can’t solve to this day ..
not can work with the second channel ..
as we all know, gsm operators have two lines ..
when one line is busy, if you call and this number
will beep, well, as if the second line is free .. it is not displayed on the asterisk ..
still like this problem ..
if you reset the incoming call, then the caller continues to hear beeps ..
I also know that there is a gsm gateway for Windows that relays via sip .. and works with usb modems, although the current with huawei is not with everyone ..
I do not know if there are not such problems (I downloaded it but did not test it).
but due to GSM, installing one PC is not cost-effective, I’d rather install a gsm pci card ..
there is also a gsm voip gateway in a box at reasonable prices for about $ 100 plus or minus ..
but this is also not relevant since it works without encryption to cost one such ..
at the time of the connection, you can intercept both the login and password, well, in general, the thing is not not safe and it doesn’t know how to work with VPN (there are those that can, but the price is not relevant because of the VPN to overpay such an amount) ..
