Is there a group chats API in the new versions of Skype?

Is it possible to programmatically create a group chat and then catch user messages from it and transfer application messages in new versions of Skype.
Previously, there was an implementation of a similar mechanism using the skype COM interface, but due to recent updates, group chats stopped working.
Does this feature exist in Skype for Business? Only in this case it is necessary to be able to interact with users of regular Skype.
