Is there a free player for Windows that can play BD3D on a 3D TV via HDMI?

Looking for an analogue of CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra, but free and without a ton of unnecessary features. A prerequisite is the use of hardware accelerated video decoding.

It would be absolutely fine if there was such a thing under Linux.

At one time, I was concerned about the same issue. It turned out that it was easier to download a Blu-ray rip of the desired disc and watch it with your favorite KMP player by manually switching the TV to the desired 3d mode.
