Is there a big difference between Assembler versions?

I understand FASM at the basic level and now I'm trying to learn it even better. I found out that in the next semester at my university, TASM with the AFDP debugger will be used on the course. Will I be able to easily switch from FASM to TASM, like it happens with C ++ and C, or should I start to understand TASM right now?

FASM and TASM - for one processor the difference is not fundamental. But the Assembler commands for some microcontroller will differ greatly
