Is the PIN code of the SIM card transmitted to the operator?

The question is actually in the title. In case of changing the PIN code on the SIM card, is the new PIN transmitted to the operator? Does the operator know and can he find out the pincode installed on the SIM card?

Not getting through.
Theoretically, the operator can find out the code when entering or changing if you use a phone with firmware modified by the operator (an application for interacting with SIM). But he doesn't fucking need it. Moreover, without the mentioned functionality or physical access to the phone, knowing the pin is absolutely useless.
