Is the laptop suitable for development - Dell Latitude 5495?
How suitable is this model for development? Used by IDEA for Java, NetBeans for a little bit of everything, Visual Studio 2017 for C#.
For application development and some web. For mobile devices - in the future.
What attracted this model:
1. A professional series of laptops (I've come across - always a positive experience)
2. Expansion options using a docking station
3. The amount of RAM up to 32 GB is supported.
4. Relatively light weight 5.
Sufficiently
productive 8 nuclear stone
6. Good reviews on English-speaking forums
I do not want to take analogues on Intel. The main reason is that some applications developed on Intel worked extremely poorly (or even did not work at all) on other platforms. In general, you need a machine for development specifically on AMD.

Prospects are gone. And even more so - on laptops.
Take something stationary for the next 6 months and with the possibility of replacing the maximum number of components.
Or, look at the same Dell models: fully upgradeable mobile laptop platforms.
