Is battery life different between Linux and OS X?

I have heard that MacBooks have good autonomy, and I am almost sure that this is due to more capacious batteries than the OS.
Is my assumption correct?
I currently have Linux / Windows installed on my laptop, and if Hackintosh is added there, then what are your assumptions about who will be the champion in autonomy?
I also know that these two axes work on the same core, but maybe OO X has a better designed power-saving mode?

@FloorZ

who will be the autonomy champion?

The champion will be Linux without X.

Not so. MacOS uses the XNU kernel, any Linux distribution uses the Linux kernel :)
In fact, the factors affecting battery life are:
1. Whether power saving is enabled in the operating
system 2. Are all the power saving functions of iron supported by this operating system. Hackintosh, I think, can lose, because it was made only for Intel's apple computers. Depends on your hardware. You can search for assemblies where the necessary firewood is included.
3. The number of running processes and their total load on memory / CPU / other devices. There are a ton of variations here. Linux can be in various guises. With graphics or just a console.
In short, Linux without graphics and with power saving properly configured will live the longest. Least of all Windows with background programs. The rest is in the middle and hard to say.

Windows - Mac - Linux in the pope itself

I will say this, Air 2013 is enough for me for 7-8 hours of coding with wi-fi turned on. Much or little is up to you.
But the hackintosh will obviously lose, because the OS is sharpened for a certain hardware

The hackintosh will not give any bonuses, the poppy makes vroom vroom, due to the combination of hardware / software.
Everything is more interesting with windows / linux, too magical indicators. Either ultra-fine tuning, or you won't guess.
Everything again rests on iron. That is, Linux can both beep, how to destroy the battery, but I set experiments about 3 years ago, maybe something has changed.

Out of the box, pre-installed Windows and MacOS are more economical than Linux.
With fine adjustments, you can achieve approximately the same result, but the question is how much you need to turn off EVERYTHING ...
