Is the grid spacing different for different resolutions in responsive design? Smaller for narrow ones, bigger for wide ones?

We order the designer adaptive design.
There are 3 sizes at the output: 320, 768, 1170 (PC)
Question about the grid and indents.
Are the indents different? Smaller for narrow ones, bigger for wide ones?

Should this be taken into account in the T.Z. Or a normal designer himself will take everything into account?
