Is the esata 2 cable compatible with esata 3?

I bought an esata2 cable, it costs a marvell raid pci-e sata3 controller.
Duck, for some reason he does not see the hard drives connected to esata.
I bought wires for esata2, because. were cheaper - I thought that just like with sata2 / 3 wires, everything will work anyway.
So are esata2 and esata3 compatible?
Or maybe the problem is in another (driver, which is doubtful)

The cables are completely identical. Either they are just defective, or you have a problem with something else.
