Is the DGS-1100-06/ME switch suitable for GPON?

Hey!
The other day, we had optics done in our village, and an optical cable came to our school and installed a DLINK DGS-1100-06/ME switch. Does it turn out that we include GPON or another technology?
Thank you!

This is a regular Ethernet switch - not GPON or any other PON.
The connection technology will be, as written on the site - 100/1000Base-X : FastEthernet or GigabitEthernet via optical cable. An optical SFP form factor
module can be used for connection . They are different because there are different optical cables, it mainly depends on the distance over which the optics will need to be pulled. Externally, the modules will not differ except for the markings. The same cable will be externally the same, maybe there will be different connectors and colors of both the cable itself and the connector. xPON is a separate technology and optical cables and modules for it are used exactly the same, but different equipment is used. Essence of PON
, roughly, the use of one optical cable for many subscribers, but not due to the frequency multiplexing of WDM, CWDM and DWDM light, but due to the allocation of a time slice to each subscriber during which he transmits TDM. The established name for PON subscriber devices is ONU or ONT - Optical Network Unit and Opticatl Network Terminal. D-Link has a very weak presence .
You can argue about the advantages of PON or pure Ethernet, in my opinion, Ethernet is simply better in your case for sure, the choice of devices is at least richer and you will not share a valuable bandwidth resource with anyone, at least in your connection area.
