Is the Corona SDK worth messing with?

I welcome everyone. Corona SDK engine is excellent, I tried it myself. But what about 3d? Are the engine developers going to introduce 3D in the future? After all, today, as we see, the times of VR / AR applications are coming. Looking into the near future, it becomes obvious that 2d is rapidly losing relevance. But I really like the Lua language and the Crown itself :) I'll be glad to hear opinions. Thank you.
