Is the adapter suitable and how to fix the shortcomings of the PSU?
Good day.
There was an i5-6600 system, gtx-966 2gb, 400w power supply
Link to PC configuration
Then gtx 1060 6gb was installed, the sound of HDD clicks appeared, disabling it in the device manager helped, the system worked.
Then purchased from the bulletin board PSU velton atx-600w (but judging by the reviews it is 10 years old), it does not have 8pin for jpwr2, there is a plan to take an adapter from a pci-e video card to 6pin to 8pin jpwr2, is this plan correct?
I also noticed that on the 400w PSU, the video card coolers do not rotate (start for a couple of seconds and stall) when the PC is started, but on the new PSU they rotate.
Or is it all a bad business and it is better to buy a new PSU, but which one so that with a margin?
