Is such a hard drive suitable for a server?

Good afternoon! I have clients for whom I support the infrastructure. They now have a super micro server with an old SATA drive and Windows Server 2003. I plan to upgrade the HDD to an SSD and install Windows Server 2012R2. But I'm more of a Windows admin, I don't know much about hardware. Can you please tell me if such a hard drive is suitable for a server? Hard disk Samsung MZ-7KE256BW What are the pitfalls? Will TRIM need to be enabled for it? Thank you.

An ordinary disk will go no worse and no better than others of a similar class. It all depends on the tasks, if there are no specific tasks and a high load, then a normal choice.
Will TRIM need to be enabled for it?
Not necessary. In Windows Server 2012, this command is built into the system and works automatically. Although this does not mean that it will necessarily work.

The problem is that the life of the SSD is significantly less than the HDD. If you want the system to work quickly, install RAID 10 or at least RAID 0.
