Yes, the difficulties are enormous :) The Yandex Market module is bundled immediately in the Russian assembly :) There is also an XML site map. Take and use. If you want more seriously, with settings, it costs as much as 500-700 rubles - there are extensions for all versions :) It is installed without replacing files, for any customization.
What does it mean to work with 1C? It's 1C complexity to make XML, for example. Even for your own Bitrix. There you need to make a server. In short, the settings are different. Look on the net, the import / export extension for 1C costs 10-20 thousand. And why is it needed if there, like, auto synchronization? Let me explain. Because there can be no built-in import. Because everyone in 1C has its own architecture for maintaining goods. Especially when it comes to big companies. And you still need to set everything up - pay a lot of money.
There are free imports/exports for opencart. There are paid - 500-1500 thousand rubles the same 1C excange :)

As for the high load. For a high load you need hosting. Generally for all CMS. It just turns out that they put Opencart and when they get it, what a cool thing it is. They shove tens of thousands of goods there for hosting for 100 rubles. Of course, he will show 10,000. There are acceleration mechanisms. But generally speaking, for a load of 5000-10000 hosting, at least a simple virtual server is already needed. And this is not an Opencart requirement. This requires a load of 5,000 or more thousand products.
As for architecture. An excellent example of MODX there are no patterns at all :) Therefore, no one can really write anything for each specific case. First, as they say, "you need to see." In Opencart, strong typing doesn't make it worse. And it makes it possible to develop it quickly and inexpensively. Any programmer. If he didn't learn PHP yesterday. And without patterns, professionals do not write. Because they are professionals. And patterns, MVC and others were not invented to be scolded by those who do not know why patterns are needed. You just need not to scold the patterns, but to study why they are needed. Better yet, write your solution first without a pattern. And after half a year, try to develop it :) And realize that "I forgot everything, where is cho"
