Is math necessary in an enterprise?
Hello. Interested in this question: how well does a coder need to know mathematics? For example in an enterprise? . It just so happened, when I was still at school, I often skipped classes, after the 9th grade I was very interested in computers, then I went headlong into programming, now I’m already in the 4th year, but I didn’t gain knowledge in the field of mathematical analysis, I understood discrete and number theory, Boolean algebra, but the matan does not work out in any way, I'm generally afraid of mathematics)) is it worth it to poke into the enterprise or switch from java to php and live for yourself)?

It's worth messing around. I don't think many people in the enterprise remember any of the matan.
, well understood discrete and number theory, Boolean algebra,- what you need. Never had to write something mathematical. But knowledge from these disciplines came in handy. I love state machines. Boolean algebra is the foundation. Without knowing it, there is nothing to do in programming at all. So you're all good.
If you want to write code you don't have to. And if you want to become an engineer, then you should.
An example from life. A purely hypothetical person named Masha, she is from a village, driving a car is excellent only in her village where there are two long streets, the first without traffic lights and Far East rules. Does she need to know the DV rule? No. If she doesn’t leave this street, she doesn’t need it, but knowing the rules would help her in another street where you have to drive by the rules.
Also EE if your task is related to mathematics, then you need it.
If you are well versed in sets, then it will help you understand the database.
Matan, Geometry in game development, etc. tasks.
