Is macbook air 13 m1 8gb enough for web development?

For a long time I want to take a typewriter for everyday use and dragging it everywhere. Before that, I took msi gf63 thin for 8GB, it was enough for me in terms of performance, but it was always problematic to carry it everywhere (the laptop itself weighed a little more than 1.5 kg + charging about 500 g), it was difficult to fit in a bag and it was heavy.
Recently, a new air came out on the m1 and now I’m thinking about purchasing it, but I’m afraid that the screen will be too small in the future, if something goes wrong (for example, the SSD falls off), then the repair will cost as much as a new macbook. Or what other options can be considered? (analogues in quality and performance are more expensive than a new poppy).
Who has this laptop or any other macbook with 13 inches, do you have enough for coding?

If you choose a new poppy, then only on m1.
I have a 16gb ram pro, I'm happy.
By the way, for 20 days of active use - he never turned on the fans. I even played Diablo 3 here, still this demon did not turn on the fans.
on 8GB ram in general they say it's ok, but I have a phobia that there is not enough RAM)
But I'm waiting for the release of 16 inches in the summer. Like a permanent computer.
You can code on 13" but I was more comfortable on the old 15" one.

No. Wait for normal docker to come out

You will get tired with a small screen.

As mentioned above, web development is a flexible concept, if you write simple one-pages, then there will be no problems other than the screen size, and if you are doing a large project with a server side, then there are not enough resources.

It may be enough for the first time, but in the future it will be greatly missed, especially on the backend
