Is Lenovo Z500 laptop suitable for programming?

Good evening.
By the new year, I finally decided to buy a laptop for work (programming), trips, there is an option to take
Lenovo Z500
15.6''AG HD
i7-3612QM
4GB
1TB+8SSH DVDRW
Geforce
GT740M 2GB
but I have been working on a desktop all my life, I have no idea how convenient it will be to program on a 15.6 '' screen, whether it will be too small, maybe it's worth taking a closer look at laptops with a 17 '' display?

I think 1366x768 is too small. At least I don't have enough (Y570).

I would not even consider 13 inches with such a resolution. 15 inches is enough for full-fledged work (it’s more convenient with a monitor, but with 15 inches I no longer use additional monitors). Prots can be taken weaker, but you need 8 GB of RAM. A larger resolution is required (min 1600*1200). For programming about vidyahu, you can not remember at all.

My friend took a 17-inch only because he has poor eyesight. And so - I don’t understand at all what role the display size plays when programming.

We have a friend at work with the same device. Works with vs2013. Satisfied. Only he has 6 or 8 GB of RAM. It’s normal for a studio, but if you still work with a photo editor, you will need to expand the RAM to 12-16 GB

Everything is subjective. For VS, I only need two monitors. On one 15`` - very uncomfortable, often you have to cover a piece of code with some sort of debugging window.

Depends on how demanding you are. I used to work on the Y570, but then, after a week in front of a Full HD screen, I could no longer look at it. Personally, I am pleased when the letters look neat on the screen. But I know a lot of people who are not at all embarrassed by this, so it's up to you to decide. See what the text looks like at this resolution.

Not suitable for two reasons:
1. Low screen resolution. IDE won't fit. More precisely, only the code editing panel and the file tree will fit. 2 edit panels, debugger panel won't fit. Work productivity will drop.
2. 4GB of RAM is not enough now. At least 8, preferably 16 (so that after 1-2 years it is also enough).
