Is it worth signing a contract?

Help make the right choice.
The situation is as follows...
I work as a freelancer. A few months ago, an entrepreneur asked me to develop an interesting promising web service for him. Moreover, the "idea" of the service itself is not something new, because if desired and if there is time, any developer can implement it.
In general, during the development process, I had an obsessive thought that the income from a web service that an entrepreneur would have would be many times higher than the money that I would receive as a developer. I will receive income once, and he will receive income continuously. The agreement between us has not yet been concluded . It (perhaps by my decision) will be concluded in the coming days.
Tell me, please, what is the best way to do it? Renounce the contract and implement the web service as a personal project, investing a small amount in its advertising, or still conclude an agreement with the entrepreneur, shall we discuss some "additional" conditions?
Who faced such situations? Who made what decisions? Still, I don’t really want to enrich someone else’s pocket ...

You have not forgotten for an hour that the entrepreneur also bears risks in case the project does not work out.
If you see yourself as a hired worker, then apply for a guaranteed salary, but not for dividends from the project. If you see yourself as a co-founder and partner (if the customer, of course, needs it) - claim dividends, but not salary, that is, if the project turns out to be unprofitable, then you won’t get a penny at all, and even if it starts to make a profit, then before that the moment you have to work for free. And then you are cunning, and climb on the Christmas tree ...

Am I going to abandon all current projects, otherwise, all of a sudden, they will start to make a profit for my clients? Terrible, tk.

and what's the problem here?
why haven't you implemented it yet?
no one will make the choice for you if you think that the profit from the project is guaranteed to cover the reputational costs ... in any case, the choice is up to you

Create your service and run it. In general, judging by the question, the project is one of the first.
It is better to accurately estimate the cost of the project.

An idea without implementation is worth nothing.

Conclude an agreement with the entrepreneur, let him take you to his share, and if you really like the project, it will be much easier and more interesting for you to develop it together)

Strange people, why did they start working without a contract at all? But what you say, of course, gives away nonsense. Everything has already been written above.

Either a salary or a possible percentage in the future. In the first case, everything is simple. In the second, you will have to plow for free for a long time and carefully read the charter or contract.
I have a friend who offered freelancers 2 options at once, but everyone needed money :) otherwise he would gladly take a share, well, of course not 50%, but 30% he would agree xD

the programmer always brings a lot of money to the employer, that now every time you throw a person
of ideas on the market through the roof, take it and do it
