Is it worth selling a PC?

I have a rather weak PC, as for me: core i5-3340, gtx 950, 8GB RAM, 1TB hdd. But if you put such an assembly on Avito + a good monitor and keyboard / mouse, then you can get 20-25 thousand. And then with this money I will have enough for a MacBook Air 2020 on m1, or with a small surcharge pro 13 also on m1. I don’t really play on a computer, I just watch videos and chat, I do my study tasks: I type a lot. In about a year, I will go to university, where a laptop will also come in handy. Is it worth it to replace the computer with a MacBook now? And is it worth changing at all? (But then these 25 will not be enough for a poppy in which case). I also have an iPhone, I think the ecosystem also plays a plus?

MeLolBlo , the poppy is not a silver bullet. It is full of various inconveniences that are not found on windows. But there are also many amenities. It's just different. There are other amenities. And there are other inconveniences.
I myself live on an old macbook 12 years 15 ”, comparable in hardware to your PC. And very pleased. Without games, it is enough for almost everything. Except maybe high-resolution video processing in real time. Yes, and it didn’t hurt, and I wanted to.
But the poppy, as I said, has disadvantages. And before switching to a Mac, I installed a hackintosh on a PC and lived on it for over a year to see if I needed it.
I recommend trying it, and then making a decision, given that the Mac hardware on m1 is excellent (significantly better than your PC).

I switched from a relatively powerful PC (i7 9gen, 32gb ram, gtx 1070 , nvme ssd) to a 16" firmware at the minimum and it was worth it. I play, only development and surfing. Now imagine that m1 is more productive than intel in mbp16".

I had a system unit with Ryzen 2600 + 16 gigs of RAM, and a 32-inch monik, I bought an Air M1 with 16GB, I’ve been working on a poppy for 3 weeks, I turn on the computer only for the printer, until I get my hands on buying an adapter to USB C. But this is a full-fledged job , in universities you can get to some software that is installed only on Windows and you have to live with an emulator if it works.
