Is it worth repairing the matrix and video card?
Hello dear. The point is this.
There is an HP ProBook 455 G1 laptop. Relatively weak. My laptop equipment:
Processor: 2 cores at 2.5 MHz A6, as far as I remember.
Video card: built-in Radeon 7420 core in the motherboard (VGA standard) and discrete Radeon 8750 (BURNED!)
RAM: 4GB.
The laptop is 3 years old. Worked as a hospital every day. Recently, the matrix also cracked.
The question is: I heard that if you open the screen, then the laptop can already be said to be half dead.
Without a discrete vidyuhi, I would have worked on it, no matter where else. Does it make sense to order a matrix? Do you really need to invest in it? All the same, not new, you never know, everything will go to the detriment and it will soon completely fall off.
(PS All you need is Adobe Photoshop, Sublime Text, Chrome, +- LAMPP).

well, it all depends on whether you risk the cost of a new matrix
. And replacing the screen with straight arms, laptops usually do not cause much difficulty ... and "half" it does not die
My laptop is 7 years old, though core i7 and 8gb ram, I would replace the matrix, I would also buy an ssd. Look at the performance in your tasks. If it's enough, why not?
I would not restore. I would try to sell it, since it works as a stationary one. And I would buy a new one.
