Selecting a webcam for motion detection on Raspberry Pi

Good afternoon.

Plugged my Logitech Quickcam Chat webcam into a Pi (Pi powered) and wasn't happy. Through motion, the image is visible only at 176x144, if it is higher, it throws errors. Through fswebcam you can see 352x288. The viewing angle is also absolutely no for room coverage, 90 ° would be ideal. I began to compare the list of tested devices and the choice on the Yandex market and hung up.

Please advise a webcam that:
0. Works with Raspberry Pi / raspbian (ok, but not necessary, if visible in the motion program, does not load the processor, does not require external power).
1. Has a viewing angle of at least 70°, and preferably 90° (horizontally).
2. Has a resolution of at least 640x480 (you don't need much more, because you still have to reduce it for face recognition and other interesting things). For the same reason, it doesn't care about fps at all.

Task: TV surveillance, count people in a room, detect movement, recognize text, faces, gestures (and thus thoughts).

@La2ha

I'm afraid that the resolution that you indicated will be insufficient for the last tasks, like the power of a raspberry, can it be easier to buy a more powerful single-board computer and an hd camera and not suffer?
