Is it worth putting a Landing Page on Wordpress?

Hello everyone, a question arose, I'm doing a commercial order, for one friend (the price is 2 times lower than the market price, I'm doing it slowly). A friend has a clear awareness of the content, and so far it was only enough for the landing page, but in the future, 95% that the site will grow, internal pages will be added.

Question: is it worth putting the whole thing on WP right now? (isn't it too cumbersome for a landing page?)
Or is it better to pay tribute to some other lightweight CMS? (I'm just afraid that in the future I will need to choose another content management system, because lightweight may not cover all tasks of the "owner"
