, now I use hardware on my working computer:
- gigabyte ga b85m motherboard
- intel g3220 processor
- 8gb 1600 ddr3 RAM is
it worth switching to:
- intel p55 motherboard
- i5 760 2.8 8mb processor
- 16gb 1600 ddr3 RAM
at a price of ~ 7 '000 rub? Will there be a noticeable performance gain in this case?

As a result, you will get better performance than now (2 cores, 4 threads at a higher clock frequency) + a relatively fresh coffee lake platform, if in the future the processor performance is not enough, you can easily replace it with a conditional i3. It’s definitely not worth buying a nine-year-old kit for 7k, it’s better to add a few thousand and take what I’m talking about
