Career in IT

Is it worth it to go to work remotely as a june? Or just a relocation?

Hello everyone, I have been working for 1.5 years in a product company (not related to IT) as a webmaster. Came from scratch, knowing nothing but layout. For 1.5 years, I pulled up PHP and JS well. (I wrote a large website for the company, put it on the right track - for this I have a salary of 60 thousand.

The essence of the work: finalizing the company's website, creating modules (calculators, components with data output from the back to Vue), etc. I do everything alone, curators who would help - 0 (this is the main reason that I want to say goodbye to the company, because I want to grow my career, but self-study (every evening) is bearing fruit, but not in the progression I would like.

Now I pulled out a summary on hh front on Vue, for my entire city (region - 600 km from Moscow), only 3 ads on React\Vue. Yesterday I passed an interview and received an offer for a remote job as a junior in Moscow. Question: as I understand it, this is a bad practice - June is remote? I'm afraid that all my progress and desire to learn will again suffer from the absence of more experienced colleagues. The lack of corporate experience in using git flow is frightening, and of colleagues nearby who would help with advice.

PS: We are not talking about salary, I’m ready to calmly jump to a lower one, but unfortunately in the region there are generally zeros, and as for moving to Moscow, the mortgage is a little in the way, and the presence of a couple of other factors.

If the team has well-established processes, it doesn’t matter where you are, in the office or remotely.
If colleagues are normal, it doesn't matter where you communicate, in a chat or in person.

If you passed a technical interview, then be sure that they looked not only at what you now know, but also your potential. If you approached them, then they believe that you have enough knowledge and character to master the missing.
Yes, not the fact that it will be easy, but not the fact that it will be very difficult.
Getting comfortable with the approach, the git, remote communication is a common working moment.
In general, if there is a lot of free time at your current job, then you can also agree to remain a consultant. He will work at a new job, and deal with refactoring at the old one.

All normal companies have a wiki that describes almost all the processes in the company. After your acceptance, hr leads you for about 2 weeks. You will be assigned to a curator almost immediately. The curator will give you a document of 10-15 pages. There will be links to courses, podcasts, usage notes. For about a month you will be with a swollen head. At this time, you will write to the curator 5-6 times a day. Most likely in 2 weeks you will be included in a real project. As a rule, you will be optimistic about the deadlines, and you will do something wrong, there will be a review, correct it, then you will get involved. Be sure to subscribe to the general chat and mailing lists on topics.

It is not very clear why a junior.
Why, after a year and a half of experience, there should be a decrease in salary, and besides, you get a job with Muscovites?
Wolves are afraid not to go to work

Sorry.
Scary lack of corporate experience using git flow,

In vain.
Question: as I understand it, this is a bad practice - June is remote?

If the processes are established - vice versa.
Well, and colleagues nearby who would help with advice.

And you thought - you will come to a big company, and everyone will run after you and give vying advice?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
