Is it worth it to buy a console for a good car simulator?

It's only supposed to play one of the Forza/NFS, is it worth it to buy a PS4/Xbox One, or use a mid-range PC?

I took a ps3 for myself only for the grantturismo. It is worth taking for the sake of one game only if funds allow. IMHO, if the cost of the set-top box exceeds at least a third of your salary, then this is not reasonable.
