Is it worth going to a master's program to be a programmer if you have a different specialty?
Good afternoon, forum members! I would like to ask you if it is worth entering a master's program in programming if you have not come across this before (Studied python)? At the moment I am finishing (specialty: design and technology of electronic means) and I plan to continue to go to the master's program as a programmer. What specialty can I go to and is it worth spending 2 years at all, if now the Internet is full of a bunch of courses?

Master's - designed for those who work intensively in the advancement of science
Those you already have experience in the IT field at an above-average level and are engaged in scientific activities
Without IT experience, you can go to an IT master's program if you have a very high level in mathematics and there is a desire do mathematics in the context of IT
There are serious doubts whether you will be able to enter a master's program and finish it with any positive results for yourself
Learn to code - you won't be there
Learn to solve problems - you won't be
there - they don't even have to teach you there
You need to go to the magistracy for knowledge for applied programming and for a crust.
That is, not to study programming itself, but to gain knowledge for a certain area in which you will then program something.
Definitely yes.
At the end of the master's program, a separate diploma of higher education is issued.
And nowadays, a diploma in the field of computer science is quite appreciated, especially when working for foreign offices and / or emigration.
Regarding the set of knowledge - that in the magistracy, that no one will teach you on these Internet courses of yours)
But the state diploma. sample is a state diploma. sample, but the courses will not offer this.
Well, in general, it would be nice to already decide what you will do in general in your life.
There are still a couple of years of free doing nothing, but then the situation will become sharply deplorable.
to "... graduate degree in programming..." WHAT?
as we were taught at school, programming is conditionally divided into:
1) general scientific ....
2) web-based ...
3) real-time-combat ...
4) toy-game ...
You have already decided need where? specialization (blue dream) already exists in what? ...
So, if you have already chosen from these 4?, then go ahead for applied, as they said knowledge - information, to the desired master's program of the desired university, for example:
1) at least in the auction th for the future programming of an online store, at least
2) to the military, so that a swarm of drones can be programmed by a flexible-educated real-time neural network when attacking over some territory of the world or ...
It all depends on your imagination, stubbornness and adequacy ....
