Is it worth encrypting transmitted information on the client side?

Should I always encrypt transmitted information on the client side before sending it to the server?

1. Login/password
2. Text fields
3. Files

And why?

All this is vulnerable to one attack - MITM. Protection is universal - HTTPS
Passwords, obviously, should never get to the server, only the hash should get to the server.
Text fields and files - may contain something interesting for an attacker, or an attacker can replace them with their own
