Is it worth changing the operating system?

Now I have one 8GB stick, frequency 1600 - kvr16n11/8
Also there are ssd.
Is it possible to increase the responsiveness of applications by improving the RAM?
Such options:
1. Buy 2 sticks of 8GB each, with a frequency of 1866 or more.
2. Buy another bar kvr16n11 / 8 but the frequency is the same.
3. Leave everything unchanged, will the increase in the desired frequency not give out?

Responsiveness depends on many factors, it is impossible to predict whether increasing memory will help, but you can try. The cost per bar is small. Exactly one, it makes no sense to change for two others with a frequency of 1866, it's better to just buy another one of the same.

Buy the same.
1866 does not make sense to take. It is unlikely that your percent. works on the 1866 bus, which means that the exchange rate will still be 1600, or even 1333. This is with a video card, yes.
Further, the speed can be 2400, but the main indicator is timing. 9-9-9-21 is ideal for 8gb sticks. it makes no sense to search with 8-8-8, either very expensive, or you won’t find it (not worth the money in general)
Do you have 2 ssd or more? Combine their raid array, the performance of the file system will increase by 2 times, but in this case, when one comes out, almost all information will be lost. this is raid0. raid1 - just increases the response speed (reading files), but you pay by the volume of disks (for example, you have 2 ssds of 240 each, then their volume will be 240 and not 480) For some reason, the reliability is higher.
In general, the problem may not be in the RAM, but in the OS.

The problem is clearly in the axis. There are enough operatives, with ssd problems with the response of programs should not be in principle. If possible, reinstall Windows, make sure that ahci is set in the BIOS and do not split the ssd into logical volumes
