Is it worth buying a refurbished macbook?

Hello!
My 7 year old Samsung laptop recently passed away. In this regard, the task arose to buy a new one, and the choice fell on a macbook. Specifically, I'm interested in a proshka, retina 15.4 ".
At first I was going to take a new one, but recently I came across macbooks marked refurbished. So this is the essence of the question: is it worth taking a refurbished poppy, or is it better to save up for a new one? The difference in price is $ 680, which is very and very good as for me, plus also a guarantee. What
problems can there be with such a purchase?I heard that at customs and the post office mercilessly steal Apple equipment, and even a beaten one can come. Please help me figure it out.

In my opinion, you can take an officially restored Apple laptop. Apple can be trusted.
they steal at customs - well, probably, since the earth is full of rumors.
now the facts. mine personally.
I bought Apple computers by mail abroad, namely in computeruniverse. poppy mini to myself and macbook air to friends. arrived by EMS. both times it arrived in amazingly perfect condition, as if they had packed it in front of me and handed it right into my hands.
For five years I personally suffered from shopaholics and bought a lot (an average of two or three parcels per month) for many thousands of euros of bicycle parts - frames, including carbon ones, and other expensive Japanese and Italian bicycle junk in the USA and Germany. almost always - rather delicate junk (wheel assembly is a rather fragile product, yes). everything always arrived without problems. always delivered by Russian Post or EMC.
my own stats. although rumor has it that there are problems somewhere, and they broke and stole, yes. but I, relying on these statistics, would order myself without question.
By the way, do you know that for an amount exceeding 1000 euros (in the Russian Federation) - the tax is considered? Won't the tax gobble up all your benefit from the restored device?

so what is the question?
yes, there is a risk of buying used equipment , or restored, whatever you like,
and it’s even naive to sign for customs officers, if possible, it’s better to buy in your own country
