Is it true that splash screen UNITY is perceived negatively by many users?

I met sarcastic reviews in many places, they say, as soon as a person sees a splash screen from a unit, he immediately begins to think that this is another division of schoolchildren and stuff like that. At the same time, it was not possible to find real statistics on the subject or studies of any scale.
In particular, we are talking about the development of games for mobile platforms.
It is clear that if the product is really worthwhile, the Unity logo does not particularly affect anything, but still there are suspicions that in the long term and for a large audience, the overall statistics may sag. In addition, even in the top 100, I have not personally seen a single game with a splash screen.
At the same time, there is a choice to use other engines, but is it worth switching to another engine because of such a trifle as a logo, if in general you would like to stay on Unity?

Yes, there are some negative associations with Unity (honestly, even I have, although I think that the engine is quite good and convenient). The point, of course, is in schoolchildren, who at one time accumulated base crafts (the same slender clones) and tarnished a good name.
However, it seems to me that the impact for mobile platforms is minimal. As Denis wrote, if the game is already launching, then it is doubtful that he will not look further. The first impression in mobile stores is created by the game page. That is, icon, description, screenshots. If it interested the user, then all is well. You don't just need to sculpt a screen with the unity logo in the description =)

In the long run, you can not be stingy and buy a professional edition without a logo, no?

I saw games on Unity Free in the stores with a very solid audience. In my opinion, the average layman does not think about the splash.
