Is it true that real hackers do not teach their art - they are secretive, they do not need competitors and fame?
It is clear that every hacker who has done dark deeds understands that he just doesn't need "fame". NO. No one should suspect him that he knows how to break in a serious way. Serious guys generally avoid publicity, I think that these people should be very secretive. A real master will not give himself away in anything.
My logic: if I'm a hacker with experience, I'm unlikely to want to teach and produce competitors in this area!
It turns out that real hackers do their job and disappear without leaving a trace.
And can I get training only where they earn money on me?
That is, general hacking methods, awareness - all this is on online courses, of course. And only the Chinese can break the Pentagon, serious companies. And they just do not be their own competitors to produce.
Or am I mistaken? Does the hacker community like to share knowledge?

You can't get into the "hacker community" if you don't know how to gain knowledge on your own.
Hacker is no different from other specializations. A real master does not need advertising, because his work is advertising. You can learn "hacking" in computer security, because it is this industry that is, in fact, hackers (as an antivirus is, in fact, a virus). Hackers always leave traces, it's just not practical to look for them.
