Is it promising to be a game developer?
Is the profession of a game developer promising now, is it worth giving preference to this branch of development, or is it better to look for something else and not go there? I just have such a fear that in the future there will be more IT specialists, depending especially on current preferences, and they will become less valued. Therefore, I do not know whether or not to follow this path of game development. Is it possible to get somewhere now? What can you advise?

Is it possible to get somewhere now?
1) If you like developing games (for example, you yourself wrote some scripts and so on in some editors, then yes) - you can go, because love for this business will allow you to move at a good pace. Many guys who used to make custom games for heroes and vars just went into games.
2) If you don't have a love for building games, but just. So I'm sitting at home playing games, I like it - go or something to make games. It is better to choose a different direction, because in game development it is much more difficult to get good money than in other specializations.
ps well, of course, those who get good money in IT initially got out of the hundreds of those who are neither fish nor fowl, and so remained at the level of refueling printers.
A promising profession is where you can achieve professionalism.
No matter how many specialists there are in the profession, there are ALWAYS not enough professionals.
That is why it is advised to go where the soul lies - because otherwise it is very difficult to motivate yourself for eternal development
Everything will be fine, the shortage of programmers is increasing and increasing, and in general, where do they come from in such an amount
